Student and Family Support

  • Dear Lake George Students and Families,
As your LGCSD Counseling Department, we wanted to reach out to provide resources and make sure that you are all aware of available support during this time.

We recognize that this time can be very stressful for families. While we typically encourage face-to-face communication, we are strongly encouraging students and families to rely on technology and reach out to classmates, teachers, and counselors to support one another. Our goal is to help you stay connected and engaged.

We also want you all to know that we are here to support you every day. All of us are available during regular office hours via email, Google Hangout, and through our normal of fice phone extensions (unless otherwise noted). Whether you’re looking for community resources, are in need of support navigating the online education world, or are just looking to connect with a counselor for a quick check-in, we’re here for you.

We look forward to working together in this new and uncharted territory!

Food Services

  • Please click here for Summer Meal Sites

The district is providing free “grab and go” meals to any student in the Lake George Central School District. If you would like access to this support, email Mrs. Kemm Wilson Pemrick at wilsonk@lkgeorge.org. Meals are available Monday through Friday at the Lake George High School.

    Meal Pickup Time:

    • Pick up and delivery will be Monday-Wednesday-Friday 8-9 a.m.
    • Please pull up to the designated area by the auditorium doors on Mountain Drive. In order to maximize social distancing, please remain in your car and your meal will be brought to you. If you need delivery, please let us know.

We will be assessing this approach this week and will consider if changes are needed. We appreciate your feedback.

Child Care

  • LGCSD is working with WSHWE BOCES to provide free childcare for children of essential health care workers and first responders. At each center, two classes will provide daycare. The first classroom will support the daycare needs of children in the age range of 3-5 years old. The second class will support children in the age range of 6-12 years old. There will be internet access, so children are encouraged to bring their devices to complete school work. Please note, families are responsible for transportation to and from the childcare facility.
