LGCSD Daily COVID Numbers

  • Safety continues to remain Lake George CSD’s highest priority throughout the pandemic and in the future. I want to thank the LG Safety committee who supported us in creating a new system to help guide decisions to remain in-person or to pivot. In addition, the safety committee supported the administrators to create and move forward with increased communication around COVID-19 positive cases and quarantines in each school building and the district as a whole.

We will now provide daily COVID-19 data updates to support the highest level of communication, collaboration, and transparency. LGCSD will use the best information that has been reported to us, either by a local health department or by parents/guardians/employees.

Please note that the NYS COVID-19 School Report Card only displays positive case data that has been confirmed by a Department of Health. Self-reported cases with documentation from a physician may not be backed up with DOH confirmation from neighboring counties. Due to these reasons, positive case and quarantine data that is reported by LGCSD will differ from the counts on the NYS school report card.

Currently, LGCSD Decision Matrix is low risk; Level of Community Transmision is low risk; which results in In-Person Instruction

LGCSD focuses primarily on two core indicators to help guide our decisions regarding in-person learning. These have been informed by the Center for Disease Control’s Indicators for Dynamic School Decision-Making

Criteria for Level of Community Transmission

We also vigorously adhere to the CDC’s five key mitigation strategies.

Using these strategies and information, we continuously and holistically assess the safety of maintaining in person instruction at Lake George.
